The original version of Bounceball is played with two teams, forteen players, two Home Rings, one Quaffle and one court. But what about different versions? Alternate playing methods? Over the years more and more of these variations of Bounceball have been created. Here are some of the more popular ones.
Solo Bounce: This variation is basically the same as the original game, except that it is played by two players. The Brooms now have round, metal plates attacked to the head, so as to make it easier to maneuver with the Quaffle. This variation is often used to determine Solo European Champions, World Champions, ect.
French Bounce: This version was developed in the South of France, in a town called Antibes. Here they use only one hoop, and the Quaffle is much smaller, around the size and weight of a tennis ball. Teams consist of three people.
Swap Bounce: Swap Bounce is almost the exact opposite of Bounceball! In this game, you have to bounce the ball at least three times before hitting it into the air and passing it to a teammate. You are still only allowed to touch the ball with your Broom.
