Famous players

Only a few players make it through the history of Bounceball, these are the most famous:


Somarius Hillos: One of the three founders of Bounceball, he was the best player of all three of them. In the first Chapionship final in 285 BC he had to play against his best friend, whom he considered a brother, Boscanius. But, eventually, Somarius won with two points difference. After that Boscanius became his coach and together they tried to reach the top, but the day just before the second Championship Boscanius died in his sleep. People say that he had been poisoned by an opponent but there's no evidence. Somarius was so upset he hang himself.

Mira Aos: The first woman to be a champion, she was only 21 and desperate to win and trained hard every day to show everyone at the championship that it was not only men who could win.

Latius Hillos: He was the grandson of Somarius Hillos and he too was desperate to win to remind everyone how good his grandfather did. He took part in the Championships every time but he always became second because his enemy, Montius, won every time. Latius was angry and trained even harder, pushing himself to the limit. Eventually he won a Championship because a few days before it Montius broke his leg. Latius couldn't believe his luck. 

Daritus Dori: He won the championship three times in a row in the Roman Empire and got a medal from the empire as best Bounceball player of the decade. His nickname was 'theTrickster' because in the game he was able to do al sorts of tricks to win. His succes stopped when he got an illness and after a few years he died in peace. He lived for 65 years which was very old at thet time.

Emma Turmaine: She won the European Championship in 2011 which took place in the city where the sport was born: Rome. Some said she was a decendant of Somarius. She trained hard with her coach Pema Jansen, said to be a great-great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Boscanius, in a small country called the Netherlands where Bounceball was unknown. But that's going to change soon, they set up this site so everyone could see what an amazing sport Bounceball is.
