Materials, the playing field and duration time

Bounceball can be almost anywhere and any time, as long as the correct materials are provided. The official Bounceball courts have a basic gymnasium floor and are fifteen feet wide and thirty feet in lenght. A line is drawn ten feet away from each of the hoops situated on two metre high Home Rings on either side of the court. These are the penalty lines. Whenever a player breaks the rules, the opponent's team may try to score in their hoop. Their so called 'Reacher' stands on the penalty line and hits the ball into the air with his/her Broom. They are allowed three passes between players before they have to go for the goal. The Brooms are made of a light type of metal, tipped with foam head so as not to cause any injuries. They are around one metre long. The Quaffle is a light-weight ball around the size of a basketball. The Home Rings are thirty centimetres in diameter.

If you are interested in playing Bounceball without the fuss of an entire court, then you have no need to worry! Bounceball cn easily be played in any meadow or field, providing it's big enough. All you need to do is provide the correct materials. You can do this by purchasing 'Brooms', the 'Quaffle' and other necessities from any nearby sport shop. If you, for whatever reason, do not like this idea, you can easily enough make your own materials. A few sticks as Brooms, a light-weight ball for a Quaffle, hoola hoops as the Home Rings, etc.

As for duration time: a single Bounceball match takes only half an hour, though in professional games it is normal to be at the playing field at least an hour before the start. Tournaments can take up to three hours, depending on the number of teams participating.
